Yes, you are not alone…but the struggle is real

Parenting can be hard and at times can feel like a constant struggle.

I was a teen Mum, and by the time my son Josh was 2 the nursery wanted me to get him assessed for ADHD.

Josh was my 1st child so I knew no difference in children's behavior, I decided I wasn't going to medicate.

Schooling was a constant battle, with phone calls daily and weekly meetings.

I spent most of my days crying and not sure how to cope, I started to hate how I was feeling, my life, and also being a mum.

When I went to the doctors for support their answer was to put me on antidepressants. Which I didn't do.

It was hard, I felt isolated, and daily life was a struggle for me.

I've never liked to be given a label 🏷

Think it comes from being called the black sheep of the family when I was younger.

But as years went on I started to realize Josh was very much like me.

I also have ADHD but I've never been diagnosed.

Over the years I have rewired my brain and mindset to overcome the different challenges we have faced with having ADHD and once you do life does feel so daunting and hard.

I started to enjoy motherhood more and rebuilding a positive relationship with my son.

Josh now 25 has also through my help of he rewired his mindset which helped him cope a lot better with things that in the past he found hard.

It in some ways is like he has grown out of it, yet in other ways, it's still very mum there.
